Nearly two years into the Covid-19 Pandemic, the local blood supply continues to be affected by school and corporate closures, making the need for blood greater than ever.
Since Versiti is the sole provider of blood to every hospital in Southeastern Wisconsin, your blood donation is vital for local patients and their families.
Donors should wait 72 hours between getting any dose of COVID vaccine and donating blood (ex: if vaccination is on Wednesday, you can donate blood that Saturday). Masks are REQUIRED while donating. Remember to eat a healthy snack/meal before donating and hold off on coffee or energy drinks until after your donation. Drink plenty of water a few days leading up to your appointment. Bring your DL or ID with photo. Appointments recommended, walk-in donors welcome as space allows.
