Thursday Lenten Worship

One of the keys to being a faithful follower of Jesus is to fight off Satan’s temptations. Since Lent is the time of the when Christians give special attention to fighting temptation, we will use our mid-week Lenten worship to learn from one of the most important passages in the Bible about this, the vivid “Armor of God” passage from Ephesians 6. Here we are told of the 6 pieces of “armor” God gives us, in order to fight off Satan's lies and evil influences. Starting on Ash Wednesday, each week we will learn about one of the 6 pieces of armor:  the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet clad with the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit.
