About the Event
UNCLOBBER: WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY SAY?
Beginning Sunday, June 11th at 10:15 am, you are invited to participate in a series of summer conversations on human sexuality, gender identity and relationships. A handful of Bible texts are often used to exclude, or clobber, those who identify as LGBTQIA+ (We can discuss what these letters mean, too!). We’ll talk together about what scripture says (and doesn’t say), what our church has said and left unspoken, and our own questions. We will meet after worship and add other times, if desired. We will be using the book Unclobber by Colby Martin as a starting point for our discussion. Books are easy to find online at Amazon.
Pastor Lynn will be leading these conversations with the help of some occasional guests.
